Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving quality coffee and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee and tea drinks, in accordance with company recipes and standards.
• Operate coffee brewing equipment and espresso machines safely and efficiently.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments through the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, counters, equipment, and seating areas.
• Restock inventory and supplies such as cups, lids, coffee beans, milk, and condiments as needed.
• Educate customers on drink options, ingredients, and loyalty programs when applicable.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally and escalate where necessary.
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service delivery.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in a hospitality related field.
• Previous experience as a barista in a reputable establishment.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and drink preparation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused personality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
