Instrumental in the current strategic implementation of the AGP’s vision for achieving a Zero Waste-to-Landfill goal by 2030 at the Kenyan facility, driving sustainable practices across all operations and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility. In 2021, I was instrumental in establishing the organization’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Manual, along with associated procedures and records, facilitating a seamless transition from BS OSHAS 18001:2008 to the ISO 45001:2018 standard and reinforcing commitment to workplace safety. We successfully passed the initial certification audit at the 1st attempt with no minor or major non-conformances. Implemented thorough SHE Risk Assessment Registers for the AGP Kenya site in 2019 using a template developed by Consol Glass (Currently Ardagh Glass Packaging). The assessment assesses each hazard independently, calculates risk rating based on severity, likelihood and frequency of exposure with and without controls, checks the legal obligation, other risk aspects and identified opportunities for an action plan. Developed comprehensive 5S audit checklists for Safety and Environmental housekeeping in 2018, ensuring systematic evaluations of compliance and promoting a safe and organized workplace. Collaborates closely with the Security, Safety, Health & Environment Manager to provide comprehensive support to all plant departments on Safety, Health, and Environmental matters. Ensures compliance with the organization's ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards. Compiles and maintains SHE reports and compliance trackers in accordance with regulatory requirements. Conducts annual reviews and on-demand assessments of cross-functional SHE risk registers. Leads incident investigations following near-misses, personnel injuries, or property damage. Performs 5S audits, Safety and Environmental housekeeping audits, and Permit to Work audits, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Executes Planned Job Observations to verify adherence to Safe Working Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. Assists employees in implementing and comprehending safety systems and environmental aspects and impacts through toolbox talks and training sessions. Coordinates practical drills with fire marshals and first aiders to enhance emergency preparedness.

Operated the Glass Melting Furnace using the SCADA system to ensure technical efficiency. Recorded hourly SCADA logs of various parameters, including temperatures, furnace pressure, and glass conductivity, to monitor optimal furnace operation. Conducted routine physical inspections and status logging of the furnace and associated systems during shifts. Performed maintenance and servicing of Melting Furnace equipment to ensure operational reliability.

Played a pivotal role in achieving the best Overall OEE for the Spirits Filler Machine in 2011, optimizing operational efficiency and contributing to enhanced production outcomes. Operated the Spirits Filler and Packer machines with technical precision, conducted preventive maintenance, including daily checks and 5S practices, as well as planned and corrective maintenance on the Filler and Packer machines, generated maintenance notifications and executed work orders utilizing the SAP system and performed visual in-process quality checks in collaboration with the Quality Representative to ensure product standards.

Drove exceptional sales performance as a Technical Sales Representative in 2010, achieving record sales of Kshs 1,000,050, showcasing expertise in customer engagement and product promotion. Engaged in e-marketing initiatives to promote the company's products and services effectively, provided training to clients on energy-saving products and solutions to enhance their operational efficiency, assisted engineers in conducting energy audits sponsored by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and supported consultants in implementing Lean Six Sigma principles within client organizations.
