Job Description

Our Client, a leading international bank, is currently carrying out a targeted regional recruitment exercise for young, flexible and dynamic Flexi Cashiers to join their Operations team.

JOB TITLE: Flexi Cashier

Target Regions: Embu, Maua, Isiolo, Garissa, Wajir, Busia, Malindi

Job Purpose:

The Flexi Cashier is responsible for handling routine financial transactions (such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and money transfers) and providing exceptional customer service to clients. The role ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to all banking policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and respond to their banking needs in a professional and courteous manner.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and money transfers accurately.
• Verify customer identity and cross-check account information before completing transactions.
• Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift and reconcile discrepancies.
• Educate customers on banking products and refer them to appropriate staff for specialized services.
• Ensure compliance with all bank procedures, security guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update customer account records as necessary.
• Report suspicious transactions to the appropriate authorities following AML (Anti-Money Laundering) protocols.
• Assist in opening and closing the branch as needed.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum experience in a similar role; experience in customer service or cash handling is an added advantage.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office) and core banking systems.
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high volumes of transactions.
• Flexible enough to be readily deployed in any of the Bank’s branches within the same region.
