Job Description

Location: Nairobi

About the Role A leading multinational is seeking a Customer Development Lead to drive customer and channel strategies in the Kenyan market. You will be responsible for developing and executing customer business plans, delivering annual sales targets, and building market competitiveness through strong leadership of account management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage customer/channel business plans aligned with strategic targets
  • Deliver topline growth and gross margin results on the Customer P&L
  • Build strong customer relationships across supply chain, marketing, and finance
  • Lead account and category planning teams, providing coaching and development
  • Champion category strategies and customer development excellence
  • Drive equity, diversity, and inclusion within the Customer Development function
  • Contribute to overall company strategy as part of the leadership team

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12+ years of Sales experience, preferably cross-functional
  • Strong customer-facing experience with proven track record
  • Solid category management background
  • Proven people leadership capabilities
  • Cross-functional experience in Customer Marketing, Trade Category Management, Shopper Marketing, or Field Sales operations is desirable
