About the Role
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Security Control Room Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of its Security Control Room.
The successful candidate will provide operational leadership, supervise control room personnel, coordinate security incident management, and ensure the continuous effectiveness of physical security systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional with strong leadership skills and experience managing security technology within a corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Security Control Room.
- Supervise and coordinate control room personnel during assigned shifts.
- Ensure continuous 24/7 operational readiness of security systems.
- Coordinate and manage security incidents, ensuring timely escalation and reporting.
- Monitor compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare accurate daily, weekly, monthly and incident reports.
- Maintain operational records including occurrence books, visitor registers and security logs.
- Coach, mentor and develop control room staff to improve performance and service delivery.
- Coordinate security system maintenance with internal teams and external service providers.
- Support investigations by retrieving security records and surveillance information when required.
- Monitor vendor performance and escalate service delivery issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, processes and service quality.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of security procedures and standard operating practices.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in physical security operations, corporate security, or with a reputable security service provider.
- Demonstrated experience supervising security control room operations.
- Strong knowledge of electronic security systems and associated technologies.
- Experience managing security incidents and coordinating emergency responses.
- Excellent analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
