Job Description
Our client, a leading organisation in the FMCG/manufacturing sector, is seeking to recruit a Warehouse Coordinator – Inbound to support efficient warehouse operations and ensure tight inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound warehouse processes, including receipt, storage, maintenance and issuance of inventory.
- Manage warehouse inventory transactions using SAP, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in real time.
- Verify that quantities and quality of materials delivered by suppliers meet purchase order requirements.
- Process rejection notes for non-conforming materials and follow up on replacements or credit notes.
- Monitor inventory movements and review warehouse reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain high standards of warehouse organisation, cleanliness and storage in line with 5S principles.
- Conduct and coordinate regular stock counts, including preparation, physical-to-system reconciliation and investigation of variances.
- Perform regular SKU reconciliations and ensure identified variances are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimising stockholding costs and avoiding stock-outs.
- Ensure proper storage and application of FIFO principles.
- Adhere to applicable Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, Risk and warehouse management standards.
- Support warehouse improvement projects and other operational initiatives.
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, Finance, Quality Assurance, Materials Planning, suppliers, transporters and other relevant stakeholders.

- Effective inventory control and availability of production materials and engineering spares.
- Accurate and timely inventory reporting.
- Minimal stock losses and inventory variances.
- Accurate posting of materials and spares into the ERP system.
- Compliance with warehouse, quality, safety and audit requirements.
- Efficient customer/internal stakeholder turnaround times.
- Proper storage, organisation and security of inventory.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in a Business-related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Inventory Management, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
- Professional qualification or progress towards Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification will be an added advantage.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Experience working with SAP or another ERP/inventory management system is highly desirable.
