Overall purpose: Responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations of the warehouse. This involve managing various aspects of the warehouse i.e. inventory, personnel, safety and productivity to meet the organization's goals and objectives. Duties and responsibilities: Inventory management: Supervising inventory levels by ensuring accuracy through regular counts and coordinating with procurement to maintain adequate stock levels. Team management: Leading and managing warehouse staff, through training warehouse personnel on their duties and expectations , allocating duties and responsibilities and performance appraisals. Workflow optimization: Streamlining warehouse processes to improve efficiency, productivity and safety while minimizing costs and maximizing space utilization. Quality control: Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure that products are handled, stored and shipped according to company standards and regulatory requirements. Safety compliance: Enforcing safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for warehouse employees, including training on equipment usage and handling hazardous materials. Equipment maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic trolleys to ensure they function properly and safely. Reporting and analysis: Generating reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, inventory re-order levels, order fulfillment rates, labor productivity and using data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
