my work has centered on fostering strong member relationships and ensuring the smooth operation of financial services within the cooperative sector. At Gawema SACCO, I was the primary point of contact for prospective members, passionately explaining the advantages of joining and guiding them through the entire registration process. My daily tasks involved meticulously processing member savings and loan transactions using the EZEN system, ensuring accuracy through diligent reconciliation with bank and MPesa records. A key aspect of my role was empowering members through financial literacy, clearly explaining loan terms and repayment schedules. Furthermore, I actively monitored loan portfolios, proactively engaging with members to facilitate timely repayments and, when necessary, implementing recovery strategies. Beyond direct member service, I also contributed to the growth of the sister company by promoting land as a viable collateral option, thereby expanding financing opportunities for our members.9
