About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Reporting Officer to join a dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management who is passionate about delivering accurate financial information to support business decision-making.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, preparing management reports, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, providing meaningful insights to support business decisions.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records and the general ledger.
- Prepare and process accounting journals while ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
- Review financial transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
- Analyze financial data and provide timely management reports and commentary.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
- Monitor financial risks and ensure issues are escalated and resolved appropriately.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve financial reporting processes and data quality.
- Support the finance team in achieving departmental objectives and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA or ACCA qualification (or finalist status) is highly desirable.
- 2–4 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial analysis within a fast-paced finance environment.
- Experience preparing financial reports and management accounts.
- Experience processing accounting journals and maintaining general ledger records.
- Exposure to budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting or ERP systems.
