About the Role A leading multinational is seeking a National Sales Manager to lead Customer Development operations in Kenya. You will be responsible for driving growth across channels, managing key customer relationships, and leading a high-performing field sales team. The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to deliver innovative solutions that maximise business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead national Customer Development workforce across strategic accounts and channels
- Manage distributor joint business planning and customer engagement forums
- Drive profitability of customers across channels
- Negotiate trading terms and manage assigned budgets
- Cascade and implement channel business plans at account level
- Lead coordination with internal teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, HR) to deliver growth plans
- Design and implement sales incentive schemes and field expense initiatives
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks
- Identify team development needs and provide training and coaching
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum
- 10–12 years’ experience as a Sales Manager or Key Account Manager
- Strong knowledge and experience in building Route-to-Market channels
- Experience in distributor management is an advantage
- Proven stakeholder management with senior executives
- Experience working in a matrix organisation
